Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12th October 2026
Swim Rebase is operated by Swim Rebase (ABN: 32944964432), based in Victoria, Australia. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Contact: rileymitch117@gmail.com.
What we collect
Account
- Your phone number, used to sign you in with a one-time code. A random account ID is created for you.
What you give us
- Your answers to the setup questions (for example your swimming level and goals).
- Swim sessions: the distances, sets, times and notes you log or that we extract for you.
- Photos you take or choose, such as a photo of a swim board, and the messages you send in chat.
- Your notification preferences.
Purchases
- Whether you have Pro, which plan, and when it renews or ends. We never see your card or Apple ID payment details; Apple handles payment.
Technical
- Basic diagnostic data your device sends when it talks to our servers (such as IP address and request logs), used to keep the service running and secure.
We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
How we use it
- To run the app: sign you in, store and show your sessions, and answer your chat messages.
- To turn photos and messages into session data using AI.
- To manage your subscription and the weekly limit on free conversions.
- To keep the service safe, fix problems, and improve the app.
- To reply when you contact us.
Who processes it for us
We use these providers to run the app. They may only use your data to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Sign-in and your account record |
| Microsoft Azure | Hosting our servers and database |
| Anthropic | Reading photos and messages you send, and writing replies |
| RevenueCat | Managing subscriptions and checking whether you have Pro |
| Apple | Payments and the App Store |
| Cloudflare | Photo and file storage |
Photos and messages you send in chat are sent to our AI provider to produce a reply. Our AI provider does not train its models on the data we provide it. AI replies can be wrong, so check them before relying on them.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public. If the business is sold or merged, your data may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
Where it is stored
Our servers are in Australia. Some providers above may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where we send personal information overseas we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled in line with this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. When you delete your account we delete your personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons (such as purchase records). Backups are overwritten within 7 days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your data,
- correct it,
- delete your account and data.
Email rileymitch117@gmail.com from the account's contact details and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions).
If you are in Australia you may also complain to us and, if we do not resolve it, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). If you are in the EU, UK or similar regions you may have further rights (such as objecting to processing or complaining to your local regulator); contact us to use them.
Children
Swim Rebase is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach is likely to cause you serious harm we will notify you and the regulator as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters we will update the date above and tell you in the app. Continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept the update.
